Every household in our house needs to use electric meters. As long as electricity is needed, there will be electric meters. At present, there are two widely used electric meters on the market, one is the mechanical kWh meter , and the other is the electronic watt-hour meter. Today we need to understand the composition of the mechanical kWh meter.

The mechanical kWh meter consists of terminal blocks, current coils, voltage coils, metering dials, and counters. As long as the current coils pass current and the voltage coils are applied with voltage, the dials will rotate by the electromagnetic force. The mechanical kWh meter has 5 terminals in total, two of which are short-circuited inside the meter with a connecting piece. Therefore, there are only 4 external terminals in the mechanical kWh meter, namely terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4. Due to the different models of watt-hour meters, each type of meter has 4 terminal wiring diagrams in the lead sealing cover.

The structure of the electricity meter is mostly the same, so the single phase energy meter is naturally similar in structure.
