WoTLK Gold has created World of Warcraft's Northrend continent in a brand new mod to the Viking RPG. The sandbox survival title created by the indie studio Iron Gate has become one of the top-selling games of the past few weeks. It has surpassed five million sold on Steam within a month of it's Early Access release at the beginning of February. The game is among the top popular games available on Steam.

In addition to its themes and core gameplay, one of the reasons Valheim has gained so much acclaim is its flexibility. Players are able to host the servers on their own Valheim servers, and the amount of mods currently available for the game are in the hundreds. Mods are just one of the ways for fans to not only improve and enhance the gameplay of Valheim, for example, mods that can improve the game's graphics or speed up some of its features and also provide brand new experiences that weren't originally part of the game.

The new mod, which was made by Nexus Mods user DrakonmanTheFox It is certainly one of the latter, as it recreates the Northrend continent from the World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King expansion that was released in Valheim. According to DrakonmanTheFox the mod was developed with the goal of playing with ease in mind. The mod will feature a difficulty curve when players travel across the continent starting from the Howling Fjord, which is also among the first locations World of Warcraft players experienced in Northrend. Other locations in the mod are The Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Icecrown, Stormpeaks, and more.

DrakonmanTheFox added more features for Valheim's Deep North, Mystlands, and Ashlands biomes as well as the ability for dungeons and other items to appear outside of their normal areas to aid in progress in the Northrend area. If you're interested in trying playing with the Northrend mod will need to install the most recent version of the Better Continents mod for both the game client of the player and the server that they're playing on. DrakonmanTheFox also recommends adding to the Epic Loot mod so that the additional locations for item spawns that were added with the Northrend mod will function.
