  • Steamforged OSRS gold Games announced a partnership with designer Jagex for the purpose of bringing RuneScape on tablets later this year. The MMORPG will receive not just two but two tablestop versions: a game board game and a tabletop role-playing game. The board game will debut on Kickstarter sometime this year, and the tabletop version will go straight to retailers.

Both games draw an inspiration from RuneScape's world of fantasy, Gielinor. The games will feature some of the same characters, stories and places in which the MMORPG has made famous over its lengthy history. The board game can send one at most five participants on a mission-based journey through the world of Gielinor.

The official press announcement made by Steamforged players will "craft and upgrade their equipment as well as upskill their characters cook special recipes, engage with NPCs and test their abilities while exploring different areas of the globe". Just as with the online MMORPG, players are also likely to discover side-quests to expand the world of the game.

Additionally, the TTRPG will consist of the most beautiful and illustrated core guide that will contain all the information needed for players to play a RuneScape TTRPG. With it, players will be able build their own characters and go out into the realms of Gielinor to create "unique and thrilling adventures". Additionally, the TTRPG base book comes "fully compliant with fifth edition ruleset of the world's most popular role-playing tabletop game".

This will be the first time that RuneScape is available beyond a digital service and this is something Jagex  buy RS gold chief executive Phil Mansell is excited about:
