Blizzard started the process of D2R Items creating the PC version to make sure players could enjoy a genuine PC experience. When asked why it took several months to announce Diablo Immortal for PC, Burgess said it came down to polish.
"Part of the reason why we had to wait so long was that we wanted to make sure that the quality that the game had was at a stage at which we were pleased with it. We were also happy to release it simultaneously with the mobile launch," Burgess said. "We think it's reached an extremely high point."
Diablo Immortal will feature numerous features that are similar to MMOs, including town hubs that play as multiplayer towns raids with eight players, PvP battlegrounds, and an challenging Cycle of Strife system. All of these are firsts for the franchise and a few of those features--like various PvP modes and a multiplayer hub town--were ideas that were developed during the development of Diablo.
Diablo Immortal's Barbarian plays exactly like the fans of the franchise would have expected.
While Diablo Immortal is breaking new territory buy d2r items both as the franchise's first free-to-play mobile game and as a social-oriented, live-service MMO, it's important that the game be a true Diablo experience. The game might include MMO elements but don't be expecting to locate any of the "holy trio" of MMO class designs in Diablo Immortal's classes of characters, which include Barbarian, Monk, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Necromancer, and Wizard when it launches.
