  • David Katz opened fire on the Madden Championship Series event on Aug. 26. He killed himself on-site Mut 23 Coins. Police said Katz had two handguns and extra ammo when he entered the GLHF Game Bar on Sunday. One handgun had an “after market” laser sight attached. He only used one weapon in the shooting, police added.

During a press conference earlier in the week, Jacksonville sheriff Mike Williams said Katz was “clearly” targeting other gamers at the event. Katz reportedly walked past other patrons in the front of Chicago Pizza, where the GLHF Game Bar is located, before shooting towards his fellow Madden competitors.

YouTuber Daniel “KEEMSTAR” Keem, the man behind popular weekly esports tournaments like Friday Fortnite and the KEEMSTAR $100.000 Realm Royale series, is looking into running an online Madden tournament to raise money for the victims of the recent Jacksonville shooting.

Two people were killed by a lone gunman at the Madden Championship Series southeast qualifier on Aug. 26. Following the shooting, EA cancelled the remaining qualifying events scheduled for September. Details surrounding the October live finals in Las Vegas have not been confirmed at this time. Those who qualified for the event were expected to battle it out for a share of the $165.000 prize pool.

I'm thinking about doing a crowdfunding Madden tournament for the madden community. They had events shut down due to the shooting. Basically we would raise money for the prize pool with donations. And run an online event (RT) if you want it! KEEMSTAR's plans for the charity event would see fans donate to the total prize pool Madden 23 Coins Cheap, with half of the money going towards the Madden community and the other half going to victims of the shooting.
