It seemed like Tebow outplayed Barkley throughout the preseason MUT 24 Coins to earn a roster spot. In the team's final preseason game, Tebow and Barkley split the reps and it was Tebow who did more with his reps. Barkley competed 4 of 9 passes for 45 yards with an interception, while Tebow completed 11 of 17 passes for 189 yards with two touchdowns, an interception and another 32 yards rushing.

When Tebow signed with the Eagles, it was met with the fanfare associated with everything the quarterback does. His jersey immediately became one of the Madden NFL 24's best sellers and Tebow-themed pretzels were even sold in Philadelphia.

Injuries and attrition through the season always mean a team could come calling and give Tebow another chance, but for now it appears as though his Madden NFL 24 dream will be shelved once again. Instead he will likely head back to his work as an analyst for ESPN, where he made a good impression in 2014.

Tebow's been good to very good in his first two MUT Coins Madden 24 starts. Last week, he started hot against the Raiders, and this week, he threw for over 300 yards and accounted for two fourth quarter touchdowns against the Texans while leading a Broncos comeback that turned a 23-10 deficit into a 24-23 win.
