The Forgotten Knights is a key endgame faction introduced in Last Epoch,designed to track player progress against powerful bosses known as Harbingers and ultimately lead to the confrontation with the Pinnacle Boss, Aberoth. Unlike item factions such as the Circle of Fortune or Merchant’s Guild, the Forgotten Knights faction is focused on the narrative and challenge of defeating Harbingers across various empowered Timelines, providing unique rewards and bonuses as players rank up Last Epoch Gold.

Players first encounter the Forgotten Knights after defeating their first Harbinger in a Level 90 Timeline. Upon unlocking Empowered Timelines, a portal appears on the central island between the Level 90 Timelines, leading to the Shattered Road, which serves as the faction’s base of operations. Here, players begin the Forgotten Knights questline and start progressing their faction rank by defeating Harbingers in different Timelines at increasing Corruption levels.

Harbingers are powerful bosses that spawn after defeating Timeline bosses at certain Corruption thresholds. Each Harbinger defeated increases the player’s Forgotten Knights Rank, unlocking various faction bonuses. Players can toggle Harbinger encounters on or off and must defeat Harbingers in multiple Timelines to progress toward Aberoth, the ultimate boss of this faction.

Ranking up in the Forgotten Knights faction grants progressively stronger bonuses that enhance gameplay, particularly relating to Nemesis and Harbinger systems. Some notable rewards include:
- Rank 1: +40% chance for Nemesis items to include an Egg of the Forgotten
- Rank 2: 10% chance for doubled Stability gain
- Rank 3: Double drop chance for Harbinger Needles (special items used in Idol Inventory)
- Rank 5: +20% additional Glyph of Envy drop chance from Harbingers
- Rank 7: +1 Corruption gain per Gaze of Orobyss (a resource used to increase Corruption)
- Rank 9: Double chance for Harbingers to drop their specific unique items
- Rank 10: Slaying a Harbinger grants 1 additional Gaze of Orobyss

Forgotten Knights progress is shared across all characters that use the same stash, allowing players to benefit from faction ranks regardless of which character they play Last Epoch Gold for sale. Importantly, players can belong to the Forgotten Knights faction simultaneously with other item factions, as it is not mutually exclusive.
