Ardongue is a large city. And it even comes with a zoo! However, who wants to live so close to this walled-in plague town (regardless of the rumors which the plague is a hoax)? And if RS gold you venture beyond the town walls, you are in danger of being kidnapped and forced to fight to the death in the Fight Arena (badly, why not the authorities go and put a halt to this operation?) .
If you prefer sexy, arrid climate, there's Al Kharid and Pollnivneach. Brutally hot climates don't appeal to me personally, purchase hey, whatever warps your starship:--RRB- Port Sarim is a small fishing village. Very nice if you are a"boaty" individual. Taverly was once a beautiful druid village until it turned into a war zone. Not too long ago, Taverly would have got my vote. Alas, no more. Too dangerous.
What about Draynor Village? Well, it is centrally located. It is within walking distance to the shopping and civilization of Varrock. Port Sarim is only a few steps away whenever you receive the travel impulse. Sure there is that little problem of the vampire, but despite all the talk, I've yet to observe some steenking vampire. If there's a vampire, he rarely if ever ventures outside his haunted mansion. There is reallyn't any extreme threat (understanding that Runescape is, itself, hazardous ) in the area, unless you go looking for it. So I vote for Draynor Village.
Obviously, there are many other cities and villages I haven't mentioned that are worth considering: Catherby, Yanille, Keldagrim, Rellekka, Camelot, Meiyerditch, Burthrope, Jaitizso, Neitiznot, Witchaven, Entrana, Seer's Village, Canifis (if you are a"dog" person, lol), Lunar Isle, etc.. There's just too many little towns and cities to mention, so"sorry" when I didn't mention your fav... Even some POHs rival some small towns in proportion and Old school rs gold attributes... Open-ended question, here... What say you?
