This. EA did a good here by taking the side of people standing up to tyranny. EA found an excuse to get Madden nfl 21 coins time to polish a turd. They can claim to be progressive as they need, but their inner work culture is totally cut-throat, betray your best buddy for a bonus and a sports car, internally sabotage your competitors job, kinda civilization. There is a reason people hate EA both internally and externally. It's actually pretty well known in Brazil, especially on TV, in terms of ratings it clearly loses out to football by a fairly wide margin, but I would say it is on par with the NBA, Tennis and Formula 1 here. For the past decades cinemas have even started to show that the Super Bowl in theaters live since it is a pretty major event.
However, it's not a popular sport for people to play because it requires a whole lot of gear, but you will find amateur soccer or flag soccer teams in every city and most universities. I myself played for 5+ years and then coached my university's team for two years. Who cares why they are doing this, can we respect that they're doing something? I imagine they already sent media policy material to various books in preparation of launch which trailer, and instead they are probably spending a lot of time sending emails to state they are delaying it. Edit: Seeing a lot of opinions that are such as: Properly they are doing nothing. To that, I'll just answer, they could still do less by simply softly pushing back any proposed trailer reveals, and that this remains a company twitter which means somebody had to get the tweet approved on some level, so someone did something. It is not a great deal, but ... Nevertheless something.
Some art man somewhere spent 15 minutes putting platitudes on a black background and they tweeted it out. I have seen a dozen of these already and it is about as easy as putting about the rainbow icons for pride. It's promotion in a catastrophe by attempting to appear sympathetic. Maybe, but I think that it's something. The one I liked the most was,"But video games are a perfect distraction for stressful times like these!" Those folks probably don't give a shit about Madden anyhow, if you say you want a diversion while half the nation is are protesting, it kinda makes you look like a dick.
But police brutality and NFL are two themes which have been pretty well intertwined with each other last few years due to all the protests. Maybe it is going to help knock some sense into somebody. If not, maybe it is going to piss off them, I'm fine with Cheap Madden 21 coins that also, because fuck em. And they also might have done nothing. They might have waited a week or two for it to blow over and released it afterward. This way gets the message out there, even if they have silly business motives, it's far better than nothing. There's many companies and many celebrities doing and saying nothing. I respect anyone who is speaking up.
